Large cabinet specimen of azurite “suns” on kaolinised siltstone from the Malbunka Copper Mine in Australia, the only locality where azurite in this peculiar habit is found. Forced to grow between layers of clay, the azurite crystals become arranged in radiating, disk-like shapes. One of the suns is incomplete toward the back of the specimen. Specimen of good size, with beautiful color and contrast of the deep blue azurite against the white matrix.
