Please be aware, the U.S. Postal Service is reporting shipping delays. We are observing longer package processing times; as a result, shipments may take longer to reach their destination.


Item descriptions

We do our best to ensure that item descriptions are accurate. In photos, we try to capture each specimen’s true colors as closely as possible to how they would appear when seen in natural light. Please keep in mind that differences in lighting or computer screen settings may result in perceived color differences. Photos may be larger or smaller than the specimen’s actual size. Close-ups are provided in order to show detail. Specimen measurements are included in their descriptions. Sizes have been measured along the longest dimensions. Please consider these when making your purchase. Small differences in item weights may result from differences in calibration of equipment. 


We accept major credit cards, Amazon Pay and PayPal as forms of payment. Prices are stated in U.S. dollars.

Shipping and handling

We are located in, and ship our orders from the USA. We do our best to ensure that each specimen will arrive in the same condition it was advertised by appropriately wrapping and/or padding each one for shipment.

We ship orders by U. S. Postal Service within 2 business days, except in extraordinary circumstances. Business days are Monday through Friday, excepting U.S. federal holidays. You will be notified by email of the shipment date and tracking information for your package.

Domestic shipments: First Class domestic packages typically arrive within 3 business days after shipment, but this is not guaranteed. Domestic shipments made by USPS Priority Mail usually arrive 2 to 3 business days after shipment. Shipping and handling charges are based on the size and/or weight of the parcel. Insurance up to the full value of the items is provided with all USPS domestic shipments. 

International shipments: International customers are responsible for any applicable customs duties or other taxes imposed by the destination country. First Class Package International service is the most affordable, and is available to most countries for packages up to 1.8 kg. These packages usually take 7-21 days to arrive. International shipments sent by USPS Priority International generally take 6-10 business days to arrive. For faster delivery, customer may choose USPS Priority International EXPRESS instead. Delivery time for Express service is 3-5 business days after shipment.

Import taxes/customs duties are the responsibility of the customer. If you wish your international shipment to be insured, we will declare its full value. You will be responsible for payment of any import taxes or customs duties charged by your country. If you would like us to declare the items as study samples of low or no commercial value, please let us know by responding to an email we will send you concerning this matter. Items declared of no commercial value cannot be insured, and we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage during shipment. Since we package all items appropriately to minimize the risk of damage, the probability of loss or damage is low, but please keep in mind these policies when ordering.


Customer satisfaction is our priority. If an item does not meet your expectations, we will refund the full purchase price provided that:

1.The customer notifies us by email at of the need to return the item prior to shipping the item back to us, in order to get a return authorization number. If the item arrived in damaged condition, see “Damaged items” section below.
2.The item is shipped back within 14 days of the customer having received it; and
3.The item is returned in its original condition.

The customer will be responsible for return shipping charges, except if the wrong item was sent or if the item was substantially misrepresented on the website (see “Item descriptions” section above for more information.) In the case of items damaged during shipment, the customer will not ship the item back; an insurance claim will be filed as per  the "Damaged items" section below, and a refund will be issued.

Damaged items: If an item arrives damaged, please notify us promptly by email including a photo of the damaged item, so that we can file an insurance claim and issue a refund to you. Please, do not ship a damaged item back to us; per postal regulations, this would void the insurance claim.


We value your privacy, and would like you to be aware of how your personal information is used. Although we do not sell your personal information to third parties, should  you reach our website through a social media posting (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, etc.) or through online advertising (Google ads, etc.), those sites may have access to, collect, and use information about your interaction with our advertisements, social media postings and website, including but not limited to, whether you have clicked one of our links or made a purchase on our site. This information may be used to determine advertising reach and conversion rates, and to better target advertising, among other uses. Any third party’s collection of this information is subject to their respective privacy policies.

We may use the personal information you give us to fulfill your order, and to contact you regarding any matters related to your order. We may also use this information to notify you by email of special offers and new items, if you have given us authorization to do so.
