Clear, very lustrous tabular faden quartz with thick growth thread along the middle. The crystals are doubly terminated. There are very small, fairly inconspicuous naturally rough areas on the terminations of two of the crystals.
The term “faden quartz” refers to usually tabular quartz with a white growth “thread” running through the center. Faden quartz forms within gradually widening fissures in the host rock, where the crystals rupture and heal as the fissure grows wider (see https://www.mindat.org/min-46656.html.)
