Nice cluster of clear tabular faden quartz to 22 mm. The individual crystals are terminated , except for two areas of contact where the piece was removed from the host material.
The term “faden quartz” refers to usually tabular quartz with a white growth “thread” running through the center. Faden quartz forms within gradually widening fissures in the host rock, where the crystals rupture and heal as the fissure grows wider (see https://www.mindat.org/min-46656.html.)
